The Parish of Whitehill is situated in the County of Hampshire in Southern England approximately halfway between Portsmouth and London. The A325 Petersfield to Farnham Road, linking the M3 and A3M, runs through the town providing easy access to Portsmouth ferries, Heathrow and rail links to London. Historically the area around the Parish of Whitehill is a magnificent patchwork of the ancient and modern. During the early Bronze Age, around 2,000 BC the area was one of the most densely populated in England. This has lead to the discovery of many Burial Mounds, some of national importance, in the area. The Romans left their mark on the area not only with a road, which can still be seen on Ordance survey maps, built to link the two important Roman towns of Chichester and Silchester and passing through Blackmoor, but also in a number of important "finds" of Roman coins.
