This historic building has enjoyed a variety of uses over the years. In the 18th Century it became a coaching house called the Kings Head. In 1995 it was renamed 'Bertie's' after the P.G Woodhouse character Bertie Wooster.

The White Horse is a 13th century 3-star hotel in the town centre market square with superb food, wine and real ales. Southampton, Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford, Winchester, Salisbury & the New Forest are all easily accessible in 15 mins.
Built in the 12thC, this tiny church lies up a country lane and stands barn-like in the grounds of Eldon House. Little has happened to it over the centuries, apart from substantial restorations to save it from desecration and collapse in 1729, in the 1860s and again in 1975. There are traces of 9 consecrations crosses from its original construction, each stone bearing a circle enclosing 5 holes which held long-vanished metal crosses.
